Frequently Asked Questions

• How does it work?
  Once you've installed the extension, you can customize the colors based on age ranges of when videos were uploaded on YouTube. The extension will highlight videos based on your preferences, creating a fun, easy experience to spot new vs old content.
• How do I get the extension?
  When you purchase access you will receive an email confirmation with a link to the extension together with your license key to unlock the extension features. You can also download the extension directly from the Google Chrome Web Store, but you will be required to purchase a license key before you can start using the extension fully.
• Can I use the extension on multiple devices, like both on my desktop AND laptop?
  Yes! We offer license for either 1 or 2 devices, you choose. ✌ If you want to use the extension on more than 2 devices, please contact us at hello [at] collortube.com
• What happens if I get a new computer and need to install CollorTube again?
  If you you use a Google Account and have backed up your settings, your extensions will most likely be restored automatically. If not, you can simply reinstall the extension and follow the intial steps to unlock CollorTube and there will be an option to reset your license(s) so you can start using it on your new device.
• Does CollorTube work on mobile devices?
  Currently, CollorTube only works on desktop browsers that support Chrome extensions. It doesn't work on mobile YouTube apps or mobile browsers.
• Do I have to use 3 ranges or can I only use one threshold to only use 2 ranges?
  Yes you can! Just set both sliders to the same value, for example 10 days. You will see that the middle color will be deactivated and you only use 2 of the colors which in this case will highlight ages 1-10 days in one color, and all 11+ days in the other color.
• Does the extension slow down YouTube or affect my browsing experience?
  While we've designed CollorTube to be as efficient as possible, any extension can have some impact on browser performance. The extent of this impact may vary depending on your system and how many videos are loaded on a page. But your browsing experience will for sure be more colorful! 🤩 Clearing your browser cache is always a good start if you experience some slowdown.
• Does CollorTube work in incognito mode?
  By default, Chrome extensions are disabled in Incognito mode. This is a privacy measure. However, you can choose to allow specific extensions to function in Incognito mode. To do this, you need to go to the Chrome extensions settings (chrome://extensions), find the extension you want, and enable the -Allow in Incognito option-.
• Can I get a refund if I'm not satisfied with the CollorTube extension?
  We don't currently offer refunds once purchased. However, we're confident you'll have fun choosing your own color logics that will make your Youtube experience more enjoyable.
